MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ON BISHVILAYCH

"The establishment of a Women’s Health Service is very important and will have a major positive impact on their health and overall welfare."

David Applebaum, MD o.b.m.
Dr. Applebaum, an early advocate for B’shvilaych, was world-renowned for his pioneering work in the field of trauma medicine. Tragically, he and his daughter were killed by a suicide bomber in Jerusalem in 2003.

"Several times a year I encounter women with very advanced breast cancer, sometimes incurable – simply because of ignorance and lack of proper primary medical care. …such women [often have] other undetected and untreated conditions such as anemia and hypothyroidism etc... [B’shvilaych] has the potential to impact greatly on the state of women’s health..."
Tanir M Allweis, MD
Dr.  Allweis is a senior breast surgeon at Hadassah University Medical Center, Jerusalem.

"Currently the comprehensive approach to women’s health is still far behind in Israel and [B’shvilaych] will make a tremendous impact on the health and well being of our women."

Shalom D. Strano, MBBCh FFRAD.D.SA
Dr.  Strano is a senior specialist mammographer practicing in Jerusalem.

"I would like to thank "Bishvilaych" for opening their medical clinic as a clinical site for students at the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing.  Their comprehensive perspective on women's  health throughout the lifecycle encompasses the philosophy of prevention and treatment that is taught in our nursing school...this partnership between academia and clinical practice will bear many fruits that will greatlly impact the health of women in Israel. "
Miri Rom, RN, PhD
Dr. Rom is Director and Associate Dean of the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing in Jerusalem.
